Milk Rice

I don’t know if you can even call this a recipe because it’s so simple. All you have to do is substitute cow’s milk with plant milk and you have the vegan version of milk rice. The perfect sweet lunch or dessert.


  • 300g milk-rice (short-grain rice)
  • 1liter rice-milk (or any plantmilk)
  • 100ml coconut milk (canned)


  1. Put all the ingredients in a pot and heat them up on full heat
  2. Turn the heat down to medium when it starts boiling
  3. Stir for about 30 minutes
  4. When the rice starts getting thick and creamy try it and add more milk in case it’s still too hard
  5. When it’s soft take it off from the stove and let it sit for a few minutes before serving
  6. Serve it with fruit (I really like it with mango or mango puree)
